Abby is passionate about being an active participant in communities through empathetic and critical approaches to architecture and urban design. She is interested in the intersections of architecture, urban design, and policy and where designers can play a role in building platforms for people in the creation of the future of their communities. She brings an architecture background and socially driven design process to SITELAB supporting efforts to design for more resilient futures along the San Francisco waterfront and reimagining a uniquely situated historic arts campus in Oakland. Her approach is predominately narrative based, grounded in stories and the spectrum of  inputs from people most impacted by the work.

Abby graduated from California Polytechnic State University SLO studying architecture with an emphasis in women and gender intersections. She spent a year in Florence, Italy studying Italian culture, art, politics, and language. Her undergraduate thesis focused on reimagining the way that weinitiate and participate in the process of design utilizing a more tool-based and multi perspective approach.
